The Jep programme

what is jep?

JEP is a program designed to help primary school kids unleash their inner entrepreneur! First the kids had to get into groups and choose an idea that could make them some money. Each group would then come forward with there idea do 'The Dragons'. The dragons would then pick the best idea to be at the showcase day. Each school that takes part in the JEP program has a local entrepreneur come in and talk to the kids about entrepreneurship. At the end of the program, the pupils will have learned all about sales, finance, marketing, storytelling, design and production.

The teams:

Sales

The sales team have to try and persuade people into buying the product. They can take surveys to see who will buy the product.

Marketing

The marketing team have to make sure that people know about the product. They might create a website, design posters or make leaflets. 

Finance

The finance team have to work out all of the finances for the team. They make sure the team is making a profit and not losing money.

Storytelling

The story telling team take picture and tell the story of the team and how far they've come. 

design and production

The design and production team create the product. They have to be open-minded to come up with new ideas for the team. Once they know what they are making, they will use the materials that the team has bought to make the product.
