March Assembly – A Wonderful Start to the Month
Our school community gathered together this morning for our March Assembly, and it was a lovely occasion filled with celebration, music, and positive news from across the school.
We began the assembly with a fantastic performance from all of the pupils, who sang 'Our God is a Great Big God'. The room was filled with energy and enthusiasm as everyone joined in.
Mrs. McCaffrey then presented prizes to the pupils who successfully solved the recent maths monthly problem that was launched last month. Well done to all who took part and especially to those who received prizes for their excellent work and problem-solving skills.
Mrs. Power spoke to the classes about the ongoing Reading Challenge and praised the wonderful effort being made by pupils across the school. She reminded everyone of the power of reading and how even five minutes of reading a day can make a big difference. Not only does it help us to improve our skills, but it can also be a great way to relax and reduce stress. The classes exceeded their aim this week and got rewarded today with extrea playtime in the glorious sunshine!
Mr. McGrath then shared some exciting plans for Seachtain na Gaeilge, which takes place next week. The Coiste Gaeilge will be very busy helping to organise activities and bring plenty of Irish language and culture into our school throughout the week. Táimid ag tnúth go mór leis an tseachtain seo chugainn.
Rua and Elliot, our Student Council Presidents, spoke about the Bí Cinéalta policy and the important work the Student Council has been doing to help bring it to life in our school community. The Student Council members and all of the officer roles were also introduced, and we look forward to the great work they will continue to do this year.
We also congratulated all of our pupils who took part in Scór last weekend. We are very proud of everyone who represented the school and showcased their wonderful talents.
Best wishes were extended to the pupils who will receive the Sacrament of Confirmation next Tuesday. We hope they have a very special and memorable day with their families.
Finally, we celebrated lots of recent birthdays across the school. It was lovely to recognise these special days together.
Well done to the Green Team for winning the House Cup!
It was a warm and positive assembly, and a wonderful reminder of the many great things happening in our school. Well done to everyone involved and míle buíochas to Mrs.McCaffrey for preparing such a brilliant assembly ! 🎉
