As another wonderful school year comes to a close, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported our Annual 5K earlier this year.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our school and local community, an amazing €5,871 was raised. Every euro has made a real difference to the experiences and opportunities available to our pupils throughout the year.
The funds raised enabled the school to purchase a new charging trolley for our tablets, ensuring that our digital learning resources are organised, secure and readily available for all classes.
The fundraiser also made an important contribution towards the legal costs involved in the transfer of the astro turf from Newcastle GAA to the school. We are absolutely delighted that this fantastic facility is now part of our school and will be enjoyed by our pupils for many years to come.
In addition, the funds helped to subsidise a wide range of activities that enriched school life throughout the year. These included celebrations during Seachtain na Gaeilge, activities for Wellbeing Week and Active Week, as well as helping with the cost of buses for soccer blitzes, educational field trips and our chess tournament.
Your support has created opportunities, experiences and memories for our pupils. It is through the kindness and generosity of our parents, families, sponsors, volunteers and the wider community that we are able to continue providing these valuable experiences for our pupils.
Thank you to everyone who walked, ran, sponsored, volunteered, donated prizes and supported the event in any way. Your support is greatly appreciated, and together we continue to make Scoil Mhuire an even better place for our children to learn, grow and thrive.A special mention must go to Karen, Nessa, Honor and Stacey for organising such a brilliant event.
