Today marks the exciting start of our four-week Whole-School Reading Challenge! We are encouraging all our students to dive into their favourite books both at school and at home.
How it works:
• Track Progress: For every 10 minutes of reading, children colour in a box on their reading chart.
• Home Support: If reading at home, please sign your child's sheet so those minutes count toward the total!
• The Big Goal: Our target for Week One is 5,000 minutes. If we hit our target, the entire school will enjoy extra outdoor playtime next week! We have also appointed "Reading Leaders" in every class who will tally the minutes each Friday to see if we’ve reached our goal.
We would love for parents to get on board and help us foster a love for reading at home.
