We had a great week in 5th and 6th Class celebrating Seachtain na Gaeilge. The pupils took part in a range of activities during the week to promote the Irish language in a fun and active way.
Each day we shared a Frása an Lae and tried to use cúpla focal Gaeilge during the school day. The pupils also entered a Comórtas Ealaíne and produced some excellent artwork.
We enjoyed getting outside for an Eachtra Dúlra, using Irish while exploring the local area. A highlight of the week was Rince Gaelach with McGrath School of Dance, which the pupils really enjoyed.
On Friday, pupils from 1st to 6th Class also took part in a whole-school Tráth na gCeist, which was a great way to finish the week.
We wrapped up the celebrations with Lá Glas, with plenty of green on display around the classroom.
