Spring was our theme for Aistear in February in Junior & Senior Infants. The children had so much fun learning about and exploring the signs of spring. At the Art area the children got to show their creativity by designing their own butterflies, at the S.E.S.E station the children explored compost using gardening tools, trucks and buckets before they got to plant their very own sunflower seeds! They were busy in the small world area designing farms and caring for the baby animals that were born. In the writing corner the children got to show off their pre-writing and writing skills before completing spring jigsaws. Finally, in the sensory corner the children were inspired by some spring-themed playdough mats and created beautiful kites, butterfly wings, flowers and much more!
